Resources and Energy

Supporting resources and renewable energy companies with engagement, social licence and community impact.

You're managing more than a project.

Stakeholder expectations. Community sentiment. Regional relationships.

Operational priorities. Social licence. Governance requirements.

Resources and energy projects operate within communities, not around them. We help organisations build trust, understand local sentiment and engage confidently before issues become risks.

"I'm a geologist. Why am I doing community engagement?"

Most project teams are built around technical expertise, not stakeholder engagement. We provide practical support, local knowledge and on-the-ground engagement so your team can focus on what it does best.

"We need more than a cheque and a photo opportunity."

Strong social licence isn't built through sponsorship alone. It comes from understanding needs, creating meaningful outcomes and demonstrating impact over time. We help organisations do exactly that.

"We want to support local groups, but we're worried they'll blow the money."

Strong community investment relies on strong community organisations. We help build governance capability,  to become investment-ready organisations, creating better outcomes for both communities and proponents.

Why Wander

Community issues become project risks
Communities, stakeholders and Traditional Owners can significantly influence project outcomes. We help organisations identify issues early, understand local sentiment and engage proactively.

Social license takes work
Trust takes time to build and can be lost quickly. We help organisations engage meaningfully, navigate difficult conversations and build stronger relationships with the communities they operate in.

We can be on the ground when you can't
Regional projects often cover vast distances and multiple stakeholder groups. We provide practical support, local presence and independent engagement when internal teams are stretched.

Because social license isn't built in a Boardroom.

Meet Claire and Jade

Claire spent more than a decade working in the mining and transport sectors in Kalgoorlie, leading human resources, business operations and strategic decision-making for organisations supporting the resources industry. She later became CEO of a multi-company group and understands the operational realities, workforce challenges and stakeholder pressures facing regional businesses and project teams.

Jade led Aboriginal engagement and Aboriginal economic development initiatives for State Government across the Goldfields and Great Southern, working alongside Aboriginal organisations, businesses and communities to navigate complex stakeholder environments, competing priorities and regional opportunities.

Together, we combine mining industry experience, First Nations engagement expertise and a deep understanding of regional Western Australia.
