Project and Program Evaluations

What We Do

  • Story-Driven Social Impact Case Studies

  • Formative Evaluations

  • Summative Evaluations

What Makes Our Process Different?

  • Improvement-focused: Our evaluations are designed to strengthen programs and organisations, not just measure them. We focus on what’s working, what could be better, and practical steps for growth.

  • Independent and objective: Every review and recommendation is guided by integrity, transparency, and independence, ensuring funders and boards can rely on clear, evidence-based insights.

  • Grounded in engagement: We connect with staff, stakeholders, and community members to capture real experiences and perspectives that shape meaningful findings.

  • Practical and accessible: We translate analysis into clear, actionable recommendations that teams can actually use.

Project and Program Evaluations

Good evaluation helps organisations understand what’s working, what’s not, and why. It turns information into insight, helping project teams make confident evidence-based decisions, demonstrate impact to funders and stakeholders, and continually improve delivery.

At Wander, we take a practical, people-focused approach to evaluation. We work with clients across regional and rural Western Australia to design and deliver small to medium-scale evaluations that fit their context and needs. Our work includes both summative evaluations, which measure impact and outcomes at the end of a project, and mid-project temperature checks that help teams track progress, test assumptions, and make timely adjustments.

Combining our strengths in engagement, analysis, and strategy, we translate data and feedback into clear, actionable insights that strengthen performance and accountability. Every evaluation we deliver is independent, improvement-focused, and grounded in the local context, helping organisations demonstrate value, refine performance, and plan for what’s next with confidence.

Functional Reviews

Our functional reviews and organisational development assessments help organisations understand how well their internal structure, systems, and culture support their purpose. We take a systems thinking approach, looking at how the different parts of an organisation (people, processes, and governance) connect and influence one another.

By taking a holistic view, we go beyond compliance to explore how teams work together, how decisions are made, and where improvements can create the most value. These reviews provide clarity on performance, accountability, and effectiveness, enabling boards and leadership teams to make confident, well-informed decisions.

We can help with:

  • Reviewing organisational structures, governance processes, and decision-making frameworks

  • Identifying gaps or overlaps in roles, responsibilities, and systems

  • Assessing alignment between strategy, structure, and culture

  • Strengthening internal communication, collaboration, and workflow

  • Providing practical, systems-based recommendations for improved efficiency, cohesion, and impact
