Good engagement needs more than good intentions.
When a project is sensitive, carries reputational risk or follows an engagement process that has damaged trust, an informal approach is not enough.
Many organisations need to engage meaningfully but do not have specialist engagement staff, an established practice system or the internal capability to manage every stage confidently.
