Our August newsletter is packed with conversations, opportunities and ideas from across rural, regional and remote WA.

This month, we share a conversation with Lindsay Bridge from First Nations Economics that got us thinking about how organisations demonstrate their real value. In regional communities, impact often extends well beyond what appears on a balance sheet. Social value, cultural value, local capability and the flow-on impact of an organisation’s presence can be just as important. So, how do we get better at recognising and communicating it?

We’re also sharing funding opportunities for WA small businesses and community organisations, including $10,000 in matched funding for strategic planning, workforce planning and governance, as well as Community Bank Albany’s Grants to Grow program.

And in our latest Thoughts & Insights, we look at why incorporation matters for community groups and how the right structure can help organisations do good without unnecessary risk.

Grab a cuppa and catch up on what’s happening at Wander and some of the conversations, resources and opportunities we think are worth passing on.
