Client: Evolution Mining

Timeline: September 2024

Evolution Mining engaged Wander to explore ways of strengthening its connection with the Kalgoorlie-Boulder community. The company wanted a simple, high-level idea that could be pitched internally to decision-makers, demonstrating how community engagement could be improved without requiring a major investment or complex delivery.

Wander developed the concept of a Community Fun Day, framed as an opportunity for Evolution to open its doors, build trust, and engage families in a relaxed and approachable setting. The pitch document set out the rationale, objectives and benefits in a clear and accessible format, helping the Community Team communicate the value of the idea “up the ladder” for approval.

Our approach was not to provide a comprehensive or technical plan, but rather a strategic concept document supported by clear articulation — a tool that translated community aspirations into a simple, actionable proposal. By packaging the idea in an easy-to-understand way, we made it easier for Evolution to consider, adopt and adapt the initiative as part of its engagement program.

This project demonstrates Wander’s strength in strategic thinking, idea generation and engagement expertise, showing how we help organisations take community-focused ideas from concept to internal advocacy with clarity and confidence.
